Ninth Principal Investigators (PI) Meeting for the Innovative Molecular Analysis Technologies (IMAT) Program

October 26-28, 2008
Hyatt Regency Cambridge

Poster Submission

For each funded project, the principal investigator should submit an abstract for poster presentation. A limited number of projects will be selected for oral presentation at the meeting based on the abstracts.

The abstract should be no more than one single-spaced page. If publications are cited, they should be within the one-page limit. When developing your abstract, please keep in mind that in addition to describing your science, the program directors would like to encourage you to help craft the scientific sessions and themes by addressing the following areas in your abstract:

  1. Describe in detail what technology your work will involve regarding sample preparation.
    1. Highlight the data strengths in your work.
    2. Discuss the data limitations in your work.
    3. Outline the data pedigree that is important for downstream users.
  2. Describe the likely end use of the data that your technology will produce.
  3. Give a short description of the source and pedigree of the sample that feeds into the front end of your technology.
  4. Provide a brief evaluation of how sample pedigree variations affect your results.
We appreciate that some of the projects have only recently been awarded and recommend that in lieu of limited preliminary data, the posters for these projects should focus on the technology proposed and plans for the future.

The deadline for poster submissions is Monday, July 21, 2008. Abstracts will be made available to all meeting attendees. If you have any concerns about the wide distribution of your abstract, please modify your abstract prior to submission.

If you have questions concerning abstracts, please forward your information to Susan Kerin at susank@md.capconcorp.com.
